Alan Boughton, Project Manager and Estimator at W.J. Maloney Plumbing Co., Inc. was certified as a LEED Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Credential Institute in March, 2009. A LEED credential is the mark of the most qualified, educated, and influential green building professionals in the marketplace, according to the GBCI.

A 12 year employee of W.J. Maloney Plumbing, and 29 year plumbing industry veteran, Boughton adds his training in green building techniques to his extensive knowledge of design-build plumbing construction.

As a LEED AP Project Manager, Boughton is certified to help construction clients attain 13 of the available 100 LEED points in the areas of:

• Water efficient landscaping
• Innovative wastewater technologies
• Water use reduction
• Storm water design
• Sustainable sites

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an internationally recognized certification system that measures building performance in energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED provides building owners and operators a 100 point rating system for implementing measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.
